Germany began selling off its Bitcoin assets in June, with the BTCs originally belonging to the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA). The BKA had confiscated these bitcoins during an operation targeting the administrators of Movie2k.to, a privacy website that was last active in 2013. As part of the operation, a total of 49,857 BTCs were seized. In the previous month, 10,000 of these BTCs were sold off, resulting in a significant decline in the price of Bitcoin.
